Expect an authentic face to face encounter, the goal for which is to be a relationship of healing and acceptance.
Please download from this site your paperwork and take the time to fill out all the information and questions. If you feel uncomfortable with any of the questions, fill out whatever you can and bring the paperwork to your first session. Bring your most current insurance card and call your insurance company to fully understand your benefits (what is your copay and do you have a deductible?). Begin to consider your goals of therapy. Why are you coming to see a therapist and what would you like to get out of the experience? Try not to be too rushed before or after your sessions. Try to do something that relaxes you before you come in and take time to process your session after you have left.
At Santa Fe Sage Counseling Center we take most forms of insurance and all medicaid. (Presbyterian, Blue Cross Blue Shield, NM Health Connections, United and Molina) Please check with your individual therapist to make sure they take your insurance. If you do not have insurance you will have to pay “out of pocket”. Checks and cash are accepted by our counselors and sometimes credit cards. Payments are due at the time of service. Often times, our therapists have sliding scale fees if you are paying out of pocket. Speak with your counselor to determine how payments will be made.
